A Western Adventure
Those who visit Cody enjoy an unmatched opportunity to glimpse Western history, enjoy fantastic outdoor adventures and explore some of the most beautiful country imaginable. In addition to visiting the Cody Mural and touring the Pioneer Museum, we suggest including the following stops while in our area:
Buffalo Bill Center of the West
Imagine having the opportunity to enjoy five museums all under one roof. That’s exactly what you’ll see when you visit the Buffalo Bill Center of the West. Prepare to be captivated by the art, history, geology, culture and firearms exhibits on display.
Buffalo Bill Dam Visitor Center
Buffalo Bill Dam is just six miles west of our center. Completed at the turn of the century, the dam is critical to fulfilling the needs of farmers and ranchers across the Big Horn Basin. Entrance to the Visitor Center, which is open May through September, is free.
Yellowstone National Park
The first national park in the United States and home to the largest collection of natural geysers in the world, Yellowstone National Park must be experienced to be believed. It’s a must-see for families and individuals of all ages.
Cody Nite Rodeo
There’s a good reason Cody is called the Rodeo Capital of the World—and one evening spent at the Cody Nite Rodeo provides it. The rodeo is held nightly June 1 through August 31, with special rodeo performances during the 4th of July Stampede Rodeo.
Additional information about local area events is available at the Cody Country Chamber of Commerce.
