    Wyoming Governor and Secretary of State ask LDS Church President Lorenzo Snow to send colonization companies into Wyoming in January. Big Horn Colonization Co. arrives in Big Horn Basin; construction on the Sidon Canal begins in April.

    Sidon Canal completed.

    Cody LDS Chapel construction begins; work concludes the following year.

    Artist Edward Grigware begins researching and creating watercolor panels for Cody Mural.

    Cody Mural completed and signed by Edward Grigware.

    Work begins on museum in the room next to the rotunda housing the Cody Mural.

    Pioneer Museum in Cody Chapel completed and opened to the public.
